After you sand it, wipe off any dust with a clean cloth. Work along with the direction of the wood grain so you don’t leave any noticeable abrasions.
Apply light pressure with 220-grit sandpaper to smooth the surface of the polyurethane.
Best to do this after every time you put it down. Wash off the wet and dry that you are using as these can pick up grit as well. This prevents further scratches from the dirt getting under the wet and dry! Step 2: Wash off the tools.
